This newsletter was born out of my pursuit of knowledge about computing systems. I work with them, study them and read others’ work on them. About Computing Systems is my effort to share this with you on a regular basis.

While systems are great, it is equally interesting to know how they came to be. Hence my liking for some history! This newsletter will also have a bit of that.

So to sum up — research papers, computing history and advancements.

You get one interesting, readable piece every week to digest your share of computing knowledge. There will be enough variation and experimentation. I will be running many series in this newsletter. Series are a set of themed posts over time, e.g. some that I am running include Paper Pursuit — important papers in CS, software engineering and languages.
